Here is a little about my performing history.

I began performing in a rock band at age 10 with my 1957 Wurlitzer electric piano and Torodor drum set, playing almost daily with my friend Rob LaVaque.  I also discovered a love for jazz around that time after witnessing what the great Monty Alexander could do at the piano when my family took me to see him at a local club.  

By the end of high school I was gigging playing jazz and pop.  I especially loved collaborating in jazz groups with my friend, the great saxophonist, Scott Mayo.  I was so lucky to perform with great musicians and to study in high school with the late great pianist Barry Kiener.  For a period I was a bit of a "jazz snob", but found my way back to listening to so many genres and playing jazz, funk, r&b, rock, and singer-songwriter folk rock. 

After college, in Albany, where I freelanced playing jazz and had great stints with the bands SquareOne and The Lisa Robilotto Band, I returned to Rochester.  I gigged with various jazz musicians, including working in groups led by my friend, saxophonist Terrance Bruce, of Cabo Frio fame.

I also played for almost 7 great years during the 1990's and early 2000's in the party band Me & Boyz.    I have since then been so fortunate to freelance with great musicians like my friend Bill Tiberio; and lead my own groups with great musicians in the Rochester area.  

I am so thrilled with my current projects! 

Prime Time Funk is a well known all-star Rochester band that I'm am excited to be joining and looking forward to gigs in the future! I have been an admirer of this band for many years and am honored to join the band on keys!  

Bad Sneakers is a 13 piece Steely Dan tribute band that is amazing!  It is such a thrill to consistently play for full concert halls with such a great group of people that are all fantastic musicians playing some of my favorite music!  I'm not even going to edit that run on sentence!

NovaSonic is just getting started at this point, but be ready for a joyful listening and dancing experience with lots of improvisation as this 6 member jam band takes you on a musical journey playing music by Goose, Dave Matthews, John Mayer, and others!  

I also play at times with the rock oriented big band Al Chez and the Brothers of Funk.  It's a super high energy show not to be missed!  

Finally, I also hope to use this site to post performances of small groups I put together and other performances that come my way.
